Conduct random patrols. Enforce laws, rules and regulations. Issue verbal and written warnings or citations life changes to visitors. Seize, hold and dispose of evidence for court. Testify in court. Check life changes licenses, tags, permits and registrations. Review citations for completeness and accuracy. Develop reports related to law enforcement activities within the park or forest. Conduct investigations of accidents, fires and incidents on state lands. Act as court officer, monitor chain of evidence for all items seized and conduct life changes proper disposition of items. Attend law enforcement training. May perform a variety of public contact, visitor information, maintenance and development duties, but not for the majority of the position's time. Requirements: Original hire has completed basic recruit training. May or may not have law enforcement experience on Department time sheets.
