15/02/06: Agreement to include euro conversion on payslips An agreement has been reached by Slovenian employers and trade unions for payslips to contain monetary antiques amounts in both the national currency (tolars) and euros from August 1st antiques 2006. Double-pricing of goods is due to commence in Slovenian shops on March 1st 2006. 14/02/06: Service sector growth may be linked to falling labour costs Although the unemployment rate in Portugal deteriorated by 0.9% to reach 8.0% over the year to Q4 2005, employment in the service sector grew by a healthy 1.4%. This was probably antiques due to the fact that labour costs for service, shop and market sales workers fell by 2.2% over the same period. In other sectors of the private sector economy, labour costs rose during the year by over 2.5%. The greatest beneficiaries were senior officers and managers, whose costs rose by an average of 18%.
